First Ark Social Investment
This was a new initiative from First Ark and we were contacted by Amanda who had previously worked with us on a previous project for Repution.com. We were given a relatively free rein to work so long as we used the existing First Ark branding. An online application form that could be saved midway through was also required for organisations to express interest in applying for funding. Data collection techniques needed to be included and automated responses for applications.
There were no really difficult challenges with this project apart from a relatively short timescale. The site needed to be finished and live in time for a launch event so the timescale from start to finish was around four weeks. This time included design and build time and the procurement of written copy from an external source in Texas USA. Due to the nature of the site and that it deals with financial concerns, regulatory statements had to be precise and proper credits in place for SIFI’s partners and associates.
Using First Ark’s branding guidelines document we designed the website that, fundamentally, encouraged organisations to apply for money. The message was kept clear, i.e. how SIFI help applicants through the process, how to apply and the type of organisations would be eligible. It was also important that this site tied in with First Ark’s other websites (e.g. KHT). We opted for big imagery, design elements and fonts to improve clarity and make bold statements.
Despite the tight deadline the website was delivered on time ready for the launch event. The reception was excellent and Cyberfrog was then invited to design and build another website for First Ark and handle the build alone for another. The site has been well-used by organisations applying for financial assistance and SIFI looks set reach its target for issuing funding before the next round of ringfenced money becomes available. First Ark are great communicators which made this project run like clockwork with a great end result.
